How to Synchronize Folders
At last Lightroom now has a
fully functional and working synchronize folders ability.
Version 1.1 lacked this and it was very time consuming to
have to manually add new images to the folder structure.
Now all you have to do is highlight the folder you want to
synchronise,.right click and select Synchronise Folder.
This can be done at any level within the folder hierarchy.
You get a dialog box after the
scan starts which will then allow you to set options. See
below.
Once the scan has finished you get an import dialog menu
which will allow you to set metadata and key words etc.
Hope this tip helps you.

Interpol reverse photoshop to reveal face of sex offender
Interpol have released a photograph of a suspected sex offender after
police
managed to undo Photoshop actions designed to obscure the man's
identity:
Interpol has launched an unprecedented global public
appeal to help identify a man shown sexually abusing children in
photographs posted on the internet.
The man appears in about 200 images depicting the abuse
of 12 boys, which police said were taken in Vietnam and Cambodia,
possibly in 2002 and 2003.
The pictures had been digitally altered but police computer specialists have produced identifiable images.
Interpol says the man is a danger to children while he remains at large.
Interpol chief Ronald Noble said: "We have tried all other means to identify and to bring him to justice.
"We are now convinced that without the public's help
this sexual predator could continue to rape and sexually abuse young
children whose ages appear to range from six to early teens."
Image database
The first pictures of the man were found three years ago in Germany, Interpol said.
The pictures had been manipulated to disguise the man's
face with a swirl pattern, but computer specialists at Germany's
federal police agency, the BKA, worked with Interpol's human
trafficking team to produce identifiable images.
They show a man with slightly receding dark hair, aged 35 to 40 years old.
Despite extensive efforts through Interpol's network of 186 member states his identity remains unknown.
Interpol maintains a database of 520,000 images of child sex abuse submitted by 36 member states.
Using sophisticated software, investigators have identified and rescued nearly 600 victims from 31 countries.

Quick Develop
Some people are confused about the differance between Quick Develop and the Develop module in Lightroom. It comes as no supride the Develop has a host more features to control the look of your image.
Quick develop also has some cross over on settings to but is designed to adjust batches of images hence the > and >> on the exposure settings where > and <>> equals plus or minus one full stop of exposure
When used with the Ctrl/Cmnd + clicking on images in Grid view you can select images at will and then Sync the exposure settings for a group of images ideal if some are slightly under or over exposed.

Quick Tip
Ok its Monday morning so here is a quick tip for using Lightroom
Keyboard short cuts (that seem to be missing from the help menu) are a nifty way to speed up actions and can be quicker than moving the mouse pointer and clicking
to find a fistful of the keyboard short cuts try using:
Ctrl +/ (for PC)
or
Cmnd +/ (on Mac)
Yes, you need to have started up Lightroom! different keyboard short cuts appear depending on what mode you are on, Library, Develop, Print, Slide Show and Web. Some are common through Lightroom others are specific to the mode you are in...Have a play
